Sunset at Islandia Beach Resort in Siquijor, Philippines

Dusk at the beach [Islandia Beach Resort, Siquijor]
Siquijor is a small less-touristy island in the Philippines, and is notorious among the Filipinos for its legends related to black magic and witchcraft. It is a quiet place, with nice beaches and a couple of protected marine sanctuaries as well. You can get there by taking a flight from Manila to Dumaguete, or flying directly to Dumaguete (from a few select locations). You then need to take an hour-and-a-half long ferry ride from Dumaguete to Siquijor.
For the first time in my life, I had bought 'first class' tickets on the ferry, only to discover that first class meant that I was ushered into a tiny cabin the size of a large toilet, with an airconditioner that had given up on life, and 8 other passengers who refused to make eye-contact because they were all ashamed to have made the same mistake.
