The island of Borneo is now quite popular for the diverse range of tourist attractions it provides. The clean waters off the coast offer excellent diving, and for the masochists, there is a mountain to climb. The lesser known town of Kundasang is at the base of the famed Mount Kinabalu, and is a lovely place to spend a couple of quiet evenings. There are excellent options for accomodation, and it has the right mix of being rustic, but still providing all the necessary amenities. The weather, of course, is lovely, and the greens are refreshing. To top it off, you have a brilliant view of Mount Kinabalu; the sight of the majestic mountain at sunset is definitely something.
This also happens to be the highest settlement in Malaysia, and most of the population belongs to the native Dusun tribes. I was wandering around the local market when I saw these little ones enjoying their treats.
